What we collect

Cal Gun Roster does not require an account and does not ask for your name or address to browse the site. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address and message, and use it only to respond.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how long visits last. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and collects information like your device type, browser, approximate location and pages visited. You can learn more, or opt out, at Google’s partner sites page.

Affiliate links

When you click a retailer link, the retailer or its affiliate network may set cookies to record that you came from our site so we can be credited for a purchase. Those companies handle that data under their own privacy policies.

Performance and security services

The site is hosted on WP Engine and uses caching and content-delivery services to load quickly. These services process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. California residents may request information about, or deletion of, personal information we hold by contacting us through the About page. We do not sell personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date above shows the latest revision.

Roster alert emails

If you sign up for roster alerts, we store your email address, the alerts you chose (all roster changes, one manufacturer, or one handgun), the page you signed up from and the dates you confirmed and were last emailed. We use this only to send the alerts you asked for. Every sign-up must be confirmed from the email we send, and every alert includes a link to unsubscribe, which deletes your subscription. We do not sell or share subscriber emails.

Some “Where to buy” links on gun pages are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Those links are marked as sponsored.
