About the Biofire Smart Gun
The Biofire Smart Gun is made by Biofire Technologies, a Colorado-based firearms company. It is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm that incorporates integrated biometric authentication — fingerprint and 3D facial recognition — designed to allow only authorized users to fire it.
How the California versions differ
- The base Smart Gun (no asterisk) has a 4.69-inch barrel, while all three asterisked variants list a 119mm barrel, which is approximately 4.69 inches — a minor measurement rounding difference between imperial and metric notation.
- All four listed versions share the same 9mm chambering.
- The three asterisked versions are differentiated by finish and color: Black, Dark Terra (an earth-toned finish), and Orbital White.
- The base Smart Gun listing does not specify a color designation, suggesting it may represent an earlier or generic roster entry.
- No differences in barrel length, caliber, sights, optics cuts, or grip configurations are indicated by the roster listings themselves.
Who it suits
The Biofire Smart Gun is best suited for home defense users and responsible gun owners who prioritize personalized access control and want a modern 9mm pistol with integrated biometric security features.
