About the Kahr P45
Kahr Arms, a Massachusetts-based manufacturer, produces the P45 as a slim, polymer-framed, single-stack pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It is designed as a compact carry handgun, prioritizing a thin profile and lightweight construction for concealed carry use.
How the California versions differ
- All three versions share the same .45 ACP caliber and 3.5-inch barrel length, so the differences are in finish and features rather than size or caliber.
- The KP4543 is the standard model, typically featuring a matte stainless steel slide over a polymer frame.
- The KP4543N shares the same base configuration as the KP4543; the "N" designation in Kahr's naming convention generally indicates a night sight package, though buyers should confirm current specifications with the retailer.
- The KP4544 in Kahr's lineup typically denotes a variant with different finish or grip texture details compared to the base KP4543; buyers should verify exact specifications with the seller.
- No MSRP is listed in the roster for the KP4543N or KP4544; only the KP4543 carries a listed MSRP of $649.
Who it suits
The P45 is best suited to experienced shooters who want a compact, single-stack .45 ACP for everyday concealed carry and are comfortable managing the recoil of a full-power cartridge in a lightweight pistol.
