About the Canik METE MC9
The Canik METE MC9 is a compact, striker-fired 9mm pistol manufactured by Canik, a Turkish firearms maker known for producing feature-rich handguns at competitive price points. The MC9 is designed as a slim, lightweight option for everyday carry, built around a double-stack magazine in a narrow frame profile.
How the California versions differ
- All three versions share the same caliber (9mm) and barrel length (3.2 inches), so they are mechanically identical in those respects.
- The METE MC9-Black (HG7651CA-N) features an all-black finish on both the slide and frame.
- The METE MC9-FDE (HG7651CAD-N) features a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) finish applied to both the slide and frame.
- The METE MC9-SLIDE BLACK FRAME FDE (HG7651CABD-N) is a two-tone variant with a black slide paired with an FDE frame, and carries a listed MSRP of $349.
- The differences between these roster-listed versions are purely cosmetic, centered on color and finish combinations.
Who it suits
The METE MC9 is best suited for concealed carry holders looking for a compact, easy-to-conceal pistol, and for newer shooters seeking an approachable, affordably priced option from the California DOJ roster.
