About the Canik METE MC9L
Canik is a Turkish firearms manufacturer known for producing reliable, feature-rich pistols at competitive price points. The METE MC9L is a compact, striker-fired 9mm pistol built around a subcompact frame with a slightly extended grip, designed for everyday carry and personal defense.
How the California versions differ
- All three versions share the same caliber (9mm) and barrel length (3.2"), so they are mechanically identical.
- The METE MC9L Black (HG7884CA-N) features an all-black finish and is priced at $399 MSRP.
- The METE MC9L FDE (HG7884CAD-N) features a flat dark earth finish throughout and is also priced at $399 MSRP.
- The METE MC9L Slide Black Frame FDE (HG7884CABD-N) is a two-tone variant with a black slide over an FDE frame, priced at $449 MSRP.
- The only practical difference between the versions is exterior finish and color, making the choice largely a matter of personal preference and budget.
Who it suits
The METE MC9L is well suited to concealed carry permit holders and new handgun owners looking for an affordable, compact 9mm for everyday carry or home defense. Its small footprint makes it a practical choice for those prioritizing concealability.
